Where to Eat... |
|
Breakfast |
Mimi's Cafe at 5090 Kietzke Lane is a great breakfast restaurant. Honestly, their new Mixed Berry Crepes was better than what I thought. It's a meal of two crepes with sweet blueberry filling. The crepes were topped with herbs and sauce. |
Lunch |
I must agree that The Lounge at Galena, Inc. is a really romantic restaurant in Reno. It's a casual dining restaurant with a scenic view of vistas of the surrounding areas. The restaurant has an array of mouthwatering meals which are truly satisfying. The Travel Host Magazine has even given The Lounge at Galena, Inc. an award of Five Best Bars in Reno. We ate lunch at around 11:30, just 30 after their opening time. We had an amazing lunch of Filet Mignon and Shrimp for $5.95 and large Crisp Thy Slaw Salad for $8. The restaurant is located at 17025 Mount Rose Highway. |
Dinner |
Dinner with my girlfriend was at Romanza Ristorante Italiano. This is another romantic restaurant in Reno, with Corinthian columns, classical sculpture and enchanted sky dome accentuating the place. My girlfriend I started off with Beef Carpaccio and Parma Ham Prawns as appetizers. The beef is at $15 while the prawns are $14. Their salads are also yummy and delicious. Romanza salad is for $6 and Caesar Salad for $8. For the entree, we are Romanza Meatballs and Pan Roasted Sea Bass. Their Italian Ricotta Cheesecake and Chocolate Gianduva Bomber are for $8 each. |
What to Do... |
|
Morning |
We watched an Air Show at 8 in the morning. Activities include Biplane and Formula One Class races. It was my girlfriend's first time to witness an Air Show and it didn't fail her. I bought a ticket online and picked them up before entering the place. Then we watched some highlights of the Air Races. |
Afternoon |
After lunch, we headed to The Wilbur D. May Center. It's an adventure for all ages in May Center. We saw rare and exotic collections of artifacts. The Arboretum is what I really loved. I love planting and have a green thumb and the Arboretum is a gardener's place. I learned so many things about seeds, flowers and gardening tips. My girlfriend loved the colorful display of living flowers, creek-side meadows and many more. |
Evening |
There's a Roman-inspired spa in Romanza Ristorante Italiano building. We checked this out spa named Spa Toscona. Nicely decorated spa, I can say. And the services are also very outstanding. My girlfriend enjoyed her Sacred Stone Massage and Espresso Limon Slimming Wrap. |
